SAFETY-SEAL Air Lock technology blends millions of tiny, various-size synthetic fibers, holding them in permanent suspension in a specially formulated homogenous mixture that's ready to use and never needs mixing. If a puncture or leak occurs the combination of centrifugal force and jet action of air propels SAFETY-SEAL into the wound, sealing it instantly and completely This exclusive Air Lock action is actually two-fold in execution:
First, larger fibers immediately plug the leak, whether in the tread, lower sidewall or at the rim, preventing air loss. Then, simultaneously, micron-sized particles surround and interlock with the larger fibers, further sealing off any chance of air loss as the tire flexes under vehicle weight and operating conditions.
As the tire rolls, the plug becomes fully fused, and is impervious to water, mud and chemicals. The entire Air lock action takes a fraction of a second, and air loss is usually ungaugeable. When the penetrating object is removed, the process repeats. SAFETY-SEAL components again race to the opening, sealing it instantly and permanently, without need for immediate patching.
SAFETY-SEAL is a onetime treatment that lasts the life of the tire. It can be applied by the customer or by SAFETY-SEAL, professionals. Treatment is fully warranted to perform as described when properly applied. In most applications, treating one tire costs less than a repair. With the valve core removed from the stem and only partial deflation, SAFETY- SEAL is pumped into the tire to a specified volume. No need to remove the tire from the wheel. Following treatment, the valve core is replaced and tire inflated to manufacturer's recommended air pressure.
SAFETY-SEAL plugs punctures up to 1/4 inch in diameter in the tread area of tires. The Air Lock action is instantaneous as the vehicle travels, and the puncture seat is permanent. The vehicle operator never even senses the leak or needs to stop for a tire repair.
SAFETY-SEAL protects against leaks and pressure losses at the rim, heat and from delamination pinholes that may escape retreading inspection. Treatment also assures proper inflation with tires on vehicles that are stored over long periods, when rubber's natural porosity permits pressure losses.
SAFETY-SEAL, unlike non-conductive rubber, absorbs and distributes heat from the tread area over the sidewalls and rim. Heat build-up is especially dangerous with the underinflated tires, where heat is concentrated on limited tread-to-pavement contact areas. With properly maintained inflation assured by a SAFETY-SEAL treatment, tires run cooler, last longer. Another advantage: Increased fuel economy and safety.
SAFETY-SEAL promotes hydrodynamic balance, even with hard-to-balance wheels. As the tire rotates, centrifugaI force distributes the fluid compound uniformly to the furthest points from the center of gravity, so the axle's center of rotation coincides with the true axle center. Results: less uneven tire wear, less chassis vibration, less operator stress and fatigue.
Mobile SAFETY-SEAL crews are equipped with custom-designed tools to service any size tire, including hard-to-access inner wheels, industrial equipment, trailers and off road vehicles.Treatment can be conducted anywhere in the U.S. and other countries where authorized, SAFETY-SEAL trained distributors are in place.
The customer is furnished with a complete record of services performed, such as tires treated, amount of SATETY-SEAL products used in each tire, documented air pressurization, and gauged tread depth.
For do-'it-yourself treatments, SAFETY-SEAL is furnished ready-to-use in 5-gallon plastic pails. No miring required. A custom-designed, heavy-duty hand pump permits precise volume measuring. Each downstroke dispenses approximately 8 ounces.
Advanced SAFETY-SEAL Air Lock tire technology brings you the next generation in puncture and leak protection Proven over millions of bard miles, with truck fleets and off road equipment, SAFETY-SEAL prevents up to 90 recent of common tire failures.Savings in new tire replacements, maintenance and costly downtime can be measured in tens of thousands of dollars, depending on fleet size. One low-cost treatment lasts the life of the tire, costs less than one tire repair, and can extend tread life 20 percent or more.
