SAFETY-SEAL TIRE SEALANT
GENERAL PUMP INFORMATION
A PRODUCT FROM PHIL GARY ENTERPRISE USA

There are only three (3) types of pumps of which you should familiarize yourself with. (1) 5 gallon heavy duty hand pump, (2) air operated injection pump and (3) the drum transfer pump.
THE HEAYY DUTY 5 GALLON PUMP
The Heavy Duty 5 Gallon Pump requires some assembly per the instructions in the pump carton.

Boy Pumping This is an all metal pump that should last indefinitely with proper care and periodic service. The pump shaft locking collar that fastens to the top of the pump lid is manufactured of cast aluminum and could corrode over a period of time.

Prior to use, wipe a small amount of oil or WD-40 over this part to help keep the aluminum from oxidizing. Do this s few times each year. DO NOT oil or lubricate the shaft! This pump does need to be cleaned periodically using clean water. After every 3rd or 4th pail of product has been pumped, it is a good idea to flush out the pump with a gallon or so of clean water. This will help prevent fiber build up and keeps the unit pumping freely. NEVER try to force the pump handle down. If the pump handle will not move, be sure that the shut-off valve on the pump line is in the "open" position or that the valve core has been taken out of the valve stem.

Also make certain that the tire air pressure has been lowered to a maximum of 30-35 lbs. for ease of installation. The higher the tires air pressure, the more pump resistance you will get and the harder it becomes to pump the SAFETY-SEAL into the tire. After treatment, the tire can then be reinflated to the proper air pressure. After treatment of each tire, connect the pump hookup to the return valve and open the shut off valve to release any excess back pressure from the line into the pail. You are now ready to start the next step. The pump shaft is marked in 2-ounce increments, with a full stroke delivering approximately 8-fluid ounces.

HEAVY DUTY PNEUMATIC INJECTION PUMP
The Heavy Duty Pneumatic Injection Pump is used to pump against high pressure tires and for large tires that require several gallons of SAFETY-SEAL. In these cases, no air needs to be let out of the tire to facilitate the installation of SAFETY-SEAL. This pump counts strokes and automatically stops when the correct amount of tire sealant has been injected (each stroke dispenses 4 ounces of product). This pump is of particular use to those companies with large fleets of trucks, earth moving equipment, etc. Once again, fresh water is used for clean-up and flushing out the pump.
DRUM TRANSFER PUMP
This pump is designed to pump SAFETY-SEAL by hand out of 55 gallon drums into 5 gallon pails for easy installation.

It mounts on the bung on the top of the drum and has an extension piece that extends to the bottom of the drum. As the nadle is turned, the pump will transfer the sealant into 5 gallon pails. The sealant can then be installed into tires using the 5 gallon metal pump.
